Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Float PRN Patient Access Representative at the Dean Medical Group in Baraboo, WI. You will communicate with patients to schedule procedures and collect demographic, insurance and clinical information for the procedure.

The role involves data entry, managing scheduling across desks, assisting with insurance pre-certification, and providing pre-service counseling. Requires a High School diploma or 10 years of experience; no prior healthcare experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into the appropriate database. Resolves questions about procedure type, date or location.
• Schedules patient procedures to optimize time and resources, and coordinates communications.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization coordination.
• Counsels patients or representatives on pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs registration clerical duties and general reception tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
