Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a medical office or health care setting.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Programs and Electronic Medical Record system(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person or by phone, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect co-pays and apply payments to patient accounts.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments to optimize clinic flow.
• Collaborate with clinical care team to improve patient access and reduce delays in treatment.
• Assist patients with scheduling referrals for testing and/or additional services.
• Screen calls for emergencies using standardized protocols.
