Orlando Health is hiring for an Ancillary Scheduling, Registration, and Patient Charge Specialist in Brandon, FL. This full-time outpatient Rehab role focuses on greeting patients, scheduling, registering, and collecting copayments in a orthopedic/sports rehab setting.

Responsibilities include efficient pre-registration and scheduling, verifying benefits, explaining insurance details, and coordinating with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills typically acquired through completion of a high school education.
• Two (2) years’ experience in financial, business office, or customer service environment required.
• Computer knowledge necessary.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registration, registration and scheduling of multiple patient appointments.
• Gathers and inputs patient/demographic and financial information in hospital systems.
• Explains insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay portions to patients.
• Performs check in and check out of patients.
• Acts as liaison between provider and patient to relay information.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance and adheres to policies.
