Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service, medical office or call center experience.
• Experience handling patient information and insurance data is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls for assigned clinic specialties in an efficient manner using standardized greeting, content, and closure of call.
• Accurately captures and verifies patient demographics, guarantor, legal guardian, and insurance information in the EMR system.
• Schedules appointments in the EMR according to scheduling and insurance guidelines; provides directions and paperwork as needed.
• Reviews electronic communications and process documentation to stay updated and notifies leadership with questions.
• Answers questions and assists customers; escalates health concerns per guidelines.
• Collects copays and balances; partners with Financial Advocate when appropriate.
• Identifies and attempts to resolve complaints; escalates as needed.
• Demonstrates mastery across scheduling groups for cross-coverage.
• Supports MyChart messages, canceled clinics, follow-up and waitlist reports.
