Responsibilities

• Independently handles patient check-in and check-out, including payment collection and reconciliation.
• Maintains patient demographics and insurance information in the CS-Link system with high accuracy.
• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and follows scheduling protocols.
• Coordinates procedures/testing with departments and monitors the daily schedule for no-shows.
• Reviews insurance benefits to assess patient out-of-pocket costs and authorization requirements.
• Manages provider master schedules and patient/provider communications.
• Coordinates referrals and authorizations ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Participates in departmental huddles and staff meetings, occasionally leading discussions.
• Manages department data/workflows using lean methodology.
• Follows infection prevention standards and department policies.
• Retrieves and handles records per clinical protocol, adhering to HIPAA.
