Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking a Patient Service Representative II to provide clerical support, coordinate high-volume scheduling, and act as a resource for PFSP, Clinical Nutrition, and Social Work Services. You will handle new patient consultations, follow-ups, and relay messages to providers in a fast-paced licensed clinic environment.

Strong organization, HIPAA compliance, and 2+ years’ experience with insurance authorizations are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Experience with scheduling and coordinating multiple providers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answering and triaging calls and directing to the appropriate departments.
• Scheduling and authorization for appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services.
• Perform insurance verification functions.
• Process and track referrals and patient information.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient data and mail.
• Assist in all work assignments as needed.
