Job summary

Kansas Gastroenterology, LLC in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time New Patient Coordinator for our office. You will ensure accurate demographic and insurance information, create new patient charts in the EMR, and coordinate with patients to schedule visits with providers.

Ideal candidates have excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office. Previous medical facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of recent medical facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules new patient consults via phone or faxed information.
• Works directly with the patient and/or family to coordinate scheduled consults.
• Interacts with the hospital and other facilities to coordinate consults.
• Electronically enters information in the patient record and indexes documents into patient charts.
• Verifies patient billing and insurance information.
• Verifies referral authorization from PCP for appointment.
