Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring for a part-time Patient Access role located in Marlborough, MA. The position supports scheduling and registration across services and campuses, handling insurance verifications and pre-authorizations as needed. Requires a high school diploma with potential for EPIC training and first/second shift availability.

Typical schedule is 6:45am-3:15pm with weekend and holiday rotation. Signing bonus may be available; final details confirmed during interview.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is required.
Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare related field.

Responsibilities

Enter Lab, Radiology and basic ancillary service appointments to schedules.
Schedule patients for treatment and services for multiple providers at multiple campuses.
Coordinate the provision of multiple services to patients.
Process updates and corrections to patient insurance and demographic information, and obtain prior insurance referrals and authorizations.
Collect patient liabilities prior to or on the date of service.
Arrange tests, procedures, and ancillary services per guidelines.
Enter and verify patient information in the scheduling system.
Follow up to correct discrepancies as required.
