Job summary

Seneca Medical Center in Seneca, PA is seeking a Part-time Patient Services Associate to support front-desk operations. You will greet patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and assist with scheduling and referrals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or higher.
• Strong leadership ability, organizational, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide and diverse audience.
• Previous outpatient office experience.
• Two years’ experience in a medical/billing/customer service function strongly preferred.
• Medical terminology and third-party health care coverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure a positive customer service atmosphere.
• Pre-register patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals, authorizations, and patient flow.
• Enter charges/codes into billing system; assist in collections.
• Maintain accurate records and support department readiness for surveys.
