Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Royse City, TX is seeking an entry-level Patient Service Specialist (PSS). This full-time role involves front desk duties, insurance verifications, scheduling, and office tasks in a busy medical setting.

Qualifications

• Looking for a customer service, detail oriented individual in a fast paced environment.
• Tasks include check in/out, insurance verifications, scheduling, reports, faxing and scanning.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient appointments with Center manager to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence.
• Registers patient information and ensures forms are complete and accurate in the EMR.
• Verifies patient insurance and obtains required authorizations; explains benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Collects patient responsibility at each visit.
• Scans and maintains medical documents.
• Reconciles and posts charges daily and completes related reporting.
• Responds to information requests from patients, other departments, and physicians.
• Maintains office and orders supplies.
• Willing to adjust schedule to center needs.
• Travels to non-home location centers or other sites for coverage.
• HS diploma or GED is required.
