Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Registration/Patient Services Associate for the HOPD Registration team in Phoenix. You will greet patients, verify insurance, perform initial registration, and prepare charts for scheduling and radiology needs.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of medical terminology. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with 1 year in healthcare preferred and fingerprint clearance as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a healthcare-related field with knowledge of medical terminology, or experience in scheduling and/or registration in a healthcare setting.
• Preferred 2 years in healthcare-related experience, including scheduling and registration or Patient Access, Outpatient Medical Imaging, Medical scheduling, or closely related experience.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC) - certificate; must have or be eligible within seven working days after employment (Pediatric Behavioral Health Sites ONLY).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - certification, preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as first point of contact to all customers.
• Performs registration and scheduling duties for procedures and appointments.
• Maintains patient charts and communicates with physicians' offices as needed.
• Verifies insurance information and collections for services.
• Ensures accurate charting and timely data entry in medical records systems.
