Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a patient access/registration clerk for the Presurgical Evaluation Clinic in Scottsdale. The role handles first-contact duties, scheduling procedures, patient registration, and data entry within the department.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of healthcare-related experience; 2 years in healthcare scheduling/registration preferred. Fingerprint Clearance Card is required or eligible shortly after employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in healthcare or scheduling/registration in a healthcare setting preferred.
• 2 years in healthcare with scheduling/registration experience preferred.
• FPC required or eligible within seven working days.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for customers and greet them.
• Schedule procedures and manage patient appointments.
• Perform registration duties and data entry for patient records.
• Obtain insurance authorization, collect co-pays, and handle deposits.
• Maintain patient charts and communicate with physicians' offices.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and ensure chart information is forwarded to medical records.
• Assist with imaging support duties and general clerical tasks.
