Responsibilities

• Receives and interviews patient to gather and verify demographics and insurance data.
• Schedules, preregisters, cancels, and reschedules tests and procedures.
• Ensures patient signs consent and required forms.
• Transcribes and scans practitioner orders into the electronic record.
• Verifies benefits with insurers and documents verification.
• Educates patients on benefits and makes payment arrangements.
• Collects payments and reconciles daily receivables.
• Coordinates scheduling with clinics, mobile and contracted services.
• Mentors staff and participates in process improvement.
• Maintains master files and accurate records.
