• Obtain and verify patient guarantor information annually to ensure records are up-to-date.
• Schedules and registers patients based on guidelines and medical appropriateness.
• Ensures follow-up appointments and testing are coordinated at checkout.
• Collects time-of-service payments and copayments during check-in/out.
• Reconciles cash drawer at end of day and reports discrepancies.
• Obtains signatures on waivers for managed care at check-in.
• Responds to patient communications in a timely manner.
