Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a patient services representative to be the first point of contact in a fast-paced call center. You will coordinate patient care, scheduling, and eligibility while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound calls, processing payments, authorizations, and referrals, with opportunities to support RN triage and message coordination for clinic staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a customer service role
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with diverse individuals
• Ability to problem solve and stay calm under pressure
• Strong written communication skills and legible spelling
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Active listening and de-escalation skills
• Prioritize multiple tasks and follow protocols

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling for in-person and virtual visits, including rescheduling and cancellations
• Arrange interpreter services to meet patient needs
• Verify and explain insurance coverage and billing details
• Promote and assist enrollment in the patient portal
• Manage multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries
• Route urgent symptoms to clinical staff for screening
• Coordinate communications and messages with clinic staff
• Handle various work queues and timely responses
• Prepare communications and outreach to patients
• Perform additional duties as assigned
