Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree In Business, Healthcare, Coding, or equivalent field. Required
• Associate's Degree Willing to consider 4 years Patient Access, Claims, Billing/ Follow-Up, or revenue cycle experience beyond minimum requirement in lieu of Bachelor degree. Required
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Willing to consider 8 years Patient Access, Claims, Billing/ Follow-Up, or revenue cycle experience beyond minimum requirement in lieu of Bachelor degree. Required

Responsibilities

• Scheduling/rescheduling, pre-certifying, checking medical necessity, and pre-registering patients for appointments, diagnostic tests, and outpatient procedures.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics, insurance information/eligibility, and benefits.
• Inform patients and/or clinical staff of proper preparation and instructions for tests ordered.
• Notify patient of appointment date/time, test, and/or procedure.
• Obtain confidential patient identification information and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Explain NMHS revenue cycle policies, estimates, charity options and payment options to patients.
• Provide bedside registration for consent and data entry.
• Ensure accurate and timely collection of patient estimates and deposits.
• Manage accounts to ensure timely processing in line with policies.
