Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a Full-time Registration Clerk for the OB Unit. You will accurately complete the pre-registration process, register patients, and ensure patient flow through scheduling and registration while handling demographics and financial information.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating records, and reconciling patient liabilities, with a focus on customer service and medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with scheduling evaluations, preferably in Epic, is desirable.
• 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately completes the pre-registration process in the OB Unit and ensures patient flow.
• Contact and register all patients who have scheduled procedures and visits within the center.
• Update patient records, demographic and financial information.
• Greet patients and check in patients into computer system and complete the registration process if not pre-registered.
• Collect, process and reconcile patient liabilities.
