Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Full-time Pre-registration Clerk for the OB Unit to ensure smooth patient flow through scheduling and registration. The role focuses on collecting demographic and financial information and serving as a liaison for patients’ questions about appointments and procedures.

The position emphasizes accurate data entry, timely check-in, and registration completion, with emphasis on customer service and understanding medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with scheduling evaluations, preferably in Epic, is desirable.
• 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect demographic, financial information and clinical orders (when applicable).
• Contact and register all patients who have scheduled procedures and visits within the center.
• Update patient records, demographic and financial information.
• Greet patients and check in patients into computer system and if patient is not pre-registered, complete the registration process.
• Collect, process and reconcile patient liabilities.
