Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of related customer-facing healthcare experience with scheduling/preregistering patients.
• Associates degree with Medical Terminology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients during registration to create a welcoming and positive experience.
• Enter required information for registration into the EHR accurately to avoid duplicates.
• Obtain signatures and complete forms including ABN/HIPAA and AOB as applicable.
• Document insurance verification information in the system and identify deductibles and copayments.
• Answer inbound calls and direct callers, ensuring timely, high-quality service.
• Contact patients by phone to remind appointments and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Organize paperwork related to patient care and schedule provider appointments.
• Provide administrative support and handle mail and correspondence for the department.
