Job summary

Tidelands Health in Murrells Inlet, SC seeks a Patient Services Representative II to register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and resolve first-call inquiries to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will schedule moderately complex procedures, coordinate referrals, collect payments, and assist with prior authorizations, while delivering courteous service and accurate records in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
• Two (2) years of related customer experience, preferably in healthcare Required.
• Experience scheduling or pre-registering patients; prior call center experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients during registration to create a welcoming experience.
• Enter required information into the EHR accurately and verify demographics/insurance.
• Obtain necessary signatures and provide patient rights and HIPAA information.
• Document insurance verification details and obtain referrals/authorizations when needed.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls and manage appointment reminders and rescheduling.
• Coordinate pre-registration of procedures and patient referrals as needed.
• Perform administrative duties and manage mail/distribution for the department.
