Qualifications

• Two (2) years of related customer experience, preferably in healthcare
• Experience demonstrating proficiency in scheduling OR pre-registering patients. May consider prior call center experience
• Ability to interact successfully with the public and maintain composure under deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families/visitors and clinical staff
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Responsibilities

• Register patients and handle first-call resolutions for assigned departments
• Pre-registering and scheduling moderately complex procedures and coordinating resources
• Verify insurance, obtain signatures, and document verification in the EHR
• Enter demographic and insurance information accurately into the system
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and payment collections as needed
• Answer inbound/outbound calls and manage appointment scheduling and reminders
• Organize and follow up on patient-related paperwork
• Provide high level customer service and guidance to patients and visitors
