Job summary

AONA American Oncology Network (AON) is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to manage front-end operations, patient intake, scheduling, and financial transactions across multiple sites.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems. Applicants should have at least a high school diploma and healthcare experience preferred, with multi-site flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year healthcare setting experience; physician office experience preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service focus with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and caregivers professionally to create a welcoming environment.
• Check in patients, verify identity, and document arrival status in the EMR.
• Verify and update patient demographics; process payments and co-pays; notify Financial Counselor if needed.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments, including new patients and follow-ups; resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Document and relay hospital consults, messages, and urgent information to physicians and care team.
