Qualifications

• Greet patients with respect and cultural sensitivity.
• Register new patients and update demographic data in the EHR.
• Collect required documents (ID, insurance, income verification, forms).
• Verify patient identity and appointment details at check-in.
• Collect copays, sliding fee scale, and balances; inform wait times and procedures.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm medical/behavioral health appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine patient financial responsibility.
• Educate patients on payment options and financial assistance programs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidential handling of information.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile payments; handle multiple sites as needed.
