Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments; maintain electronic files.
• Handle payments: collect co-payments and pre-payments.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorization, and interpreter services.
• Greet patients and assist with paperwork; protect confidentiality.
• Communicate with nursing and clinical staff to coordinate care.
