Essentia Health in Deer River is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to greet customers and coordinate the registration process. You will collect demographics, insurance information, and co-payments, then schedule follow-up visits and provide cost estimates to patients.

You will act as a liaison between patients and Virtual Registration Representatives while ensuring accurate data in the medical record and smooth front-desk operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient registration/ scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial information.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards and updates patient information in the medical record.
• Performs point of service data collection, including co-payments and downs.
• Maintains work queues per supervisor guidance.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, and refers to clinical team as needed.
• Sanitizes registration equipment and restocks supplies.
