Qualifications

• One to two years’ experience in health care setting preferred.
• Excellent data entry and typing skills.
• Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to relate to patients and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in patients; ensures demographic, financial, insurance data and signatures are complete.
• Verifies pre-appointment information is up to date before appointments.
• Confirms patient identity with proper IDs.
• Accesses site to verify Medical card status.
• Collects and enters Proof of Income documentation.
• Handles patient inquiries politely and refers to staff when needed.
• Provides feedback to improve department performance.
• Answers calls professionally and directs to appropriate teams.
• Maintains call queues and processes calls efficiently.
• Schedules, reschedules, and communicates appointment changes.
• Supports providers with scheduling.
• Enters data into EHR and scans documents.
• Delivers messages and supports other sites as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality; follows standards and policies.
