Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a customer service oriented professional to facilitate patient appointment scheduling, relay critical information, and coordinate care in a large contact center.

You will support referral transcription, EMR data entry, verify insurance, and liaise with physicians and staff to ensure accurate, timely communications and patient-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Answers inbound calls and/or makes outbound calls to schedule patient appointments.
• Provides exemplary customer service with courtesy and discretion when communicating with patients and care teams.
• Verifies demographics and insurance information in the EMR for appointment requests.
• Follows guidelines to verify insurance coverage and resources for patients.
• Acts as a liaison with physician offices to obtain referrals and coordinates with the Referral Nurse Team as needed.
• Documents and routes patient communications and handles escalation when required.

Education

High School Diploma Or Equivalent

Associate's Degree in a related field

Bachelor's Degree in a related field
