Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Patient Representative to greet, instruct and schedule patients, register patients into the computer system, and determine insurance benefits. This role serves as a liaison between patients and clinical support staff in a busy outpatient setting.

Working hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday–Friday. Responsibilities include checking in patients, collecting payments, updating demographics, answering phones, and supporting office workflows to ensure efficient

Formación

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication skills with discretion.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; coding preferred.
• Two years in a front office using medical management software preferred.
• Typing 40 wpm preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Check-in patients and verify insurance information.
• Assist patients with demographics, collect payments, and enter charges.
• Register new patients and verify contact information.
• Answer phones, screen calls, and relay messages.
• Maintain neat reception and work areas.
• Report issues to the Practice Manager and assist problem solving.
• Attend education and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Input daily balance of charges and receipts as directed.
