Job summary

Methodist Medical Group, the North Texas physician organization affiliated with Methodist Health System, seeks a Patient Representative. You will greet patients, schedule visits, verify insurance, register patients, collect payments, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced office.

This role focuses on front-office duties, patient communication, and proper data entry while supporting clinical staff and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with discretion and professional conduct.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred.
• Two years in a front office using medical management software preferred.
• Typing or data entry at 40 wpm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Checks-in patients, verifies and updates demographic and insurance information.
• Registers new patients into the computer system and verifies addresses and contact details.
• Answers telephone, screens calls, and conveys information to appropriate parties.
• Maintains a neat and orderly reception area and front desk.
• Advises Practice Manager of problems and helps in problem solving.
• Attends educational and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Determines daily balance of charges and receipts as assigned by the Office Manager.
