Job summary

Cullman Regional is looking for a patient services representative to independently create and schedule appointments within the electronic medical record. You will gather patient demographics and advise on copays, referrals, and deposits, while interfacing with patients, physicians, and staff.

You will handle multiple scheduling workflows, respond to requests via phone, online forms, and faxes, and contribute to exceptional patient experiences and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience in call center, physician's office, or retail/service.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule appointments within the electronic medical record.
• Gather patient demographics and provider information; advise on copays, referrals, and pre-service deposits.
• Respond to and interact with patients, referring physicians, Allied Health staff and family members.
• Provide exceptional service; navigate multiple systems and handle calls, online requests, and faxes.
• Promote patient safety and quality; support team behavior and guest experiences.
