SCA Health (India) is seeking an Admission Representative Clerk to oversee patient registration and scheduling for the practice. The Patient Access Representative acts as a customer advocate and supports surgeons, staff, and patients through the clinic experience.

Responsibilities include answering calls, registering patients, verifying insurance, and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA. Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Competenze

• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terminology is a plus.
• Experience with patient intake, registration, and scheduling is preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is beneficial.

Mansioni

• Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries or route calls appropriately in a courteous, professional manner.
• Register patients accurately, including demographic, insurance, and contact information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using the clinic’s EHR system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations or referrals.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry.
• Handle patient complaints or concerns with empathy and escalate when necessary.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and safe work practices.
