Job summary

Liberty Resources Integrated Health Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to perform customer service functions, primarily over the phone, to support clinic operations.

The role requires handling appointment scheduling, patient registration in EMR, and payments, while contributing to a collaborative team focused on quality care. Emphasis on strong communication and healthcare terminology knowledge in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using an electronic medical record system.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to schedule appointments and collect payments.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and route to appropriate person or document messages to care team in a timely fashion.
• Schedule appointments for MDs, NPs, therapists, nurses, nutritional services and peer specialist; contact clients to reschedule.
• Perform patient registration with accurate demographic, insurance and check-in details in EMR.
• Collect and process co-pays and provide receipts.
• Process mail, faxes, make copies and troubleshoot printers/copiers; prepare and process work orders.
