Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English is required.
• Two years of customer service or receptionist experience.
• Typing at least 30 words per minute accurately.
• Experience with EMR systems such as GE Centricity EMR, EPaces, Soarian Scheduling or EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview and collect patient demographic information for EMR entry.
• Schedule tests, follow-up appointments, and manage provider schedules.
• Answer phones and route messages; maintain confidentiality of information.
• Coordinate referrals to specialty practices and obtain prior authorizations.
• Maintain up-to-date patient insurance information and liaise with insurance companies.
