Job summary

University Hospitals seeks a Patient Access Representative for Premier Family Physicians in Chesterland. You will be the first point of contact, assuring accurate patient data, insurance info, and payments while delivering exceptional service to patients and supporting the care team.

You will check patients in/out, take calls, assist with MyChart, and coordinate with the EPIC system to keep appointments on schedule. High school diploma required; healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required for this role.
• Associate degree or progress toward degree is preferred.
• Medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits and update demographic data.
• Answer phones, address inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and use.
• Enter and validate demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Communicate with the care team and coordinate referrals.
• Process patient payments for copays, coinsurance, and balances.
• Navigate EPIC workqueues and inbasket messages and ensure documentation.
• Support with off-site coverage as needed.
