Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of customer service or healthcare-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and thoroughly collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data in the computer system, ensuring all documentation is on file.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance verification and understanding of insurance plans.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and accurately, take messages and direct calls professionally.
• Educate patients on financial obligations through POS and estimates.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and strive to improve quality and customer service.
• Perform functions related to patient self-service registration processes.
• Monitor and manage multiple work queues.
• Refer patients needing financial assistance to a Financial Advocate.
• Schedule walk-in procedures and coordinate with central scheduling as needed.
