Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Burr Ridge is seeking a Patient Appointment Coordinator to join the Burr Ridge Access Center onsite. You will collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and referring physician information, schedule appointments, and provide clear pre-appointment instructions.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Epic experience and Cadence scheduling training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience handling multiple priorities and scheduling is preferred.
• Ability to accurately enter demographic, insurance, and scheduling data.
• Familiarity with Epic and Cadence systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet callers and respond to inquiries with a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Obtain and input demographic, insurance, and referring physician information for new patient calls.
• Schedule appointments per practice protocols using scheduling systems; assess patient needs.
• Provide pre-appointment instructions and directions; document updates to records.
