Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in patient care or related setting strongly preferred.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers all telephone calls within your work assignment as designated by leadership with the goals of accurately scheduling patients.
• Evaluates non-scheduling related patient inquiries including clinical related calls; routes and escalates inquiries per guidelines with warm transfers to RN triage or clinics.
• Assess caller’s needs and respond with judgment; escalate when necessary and document appropriately.
• Utilize Salesforce and Genesys to optimize patient interactions and workflow; document, route, and resolve inquiries.
• Monitor areas of concern and suggest resolutions around Epic build issues; follow Rush Access Center processes and Epic workflows.
• Document appointment information accurately and notify patients of critical visit details.
• Drive revenue cycle by discussing financial responsibility, outstanding balances, and referral requirements; perform point-of-service collections.
