Job summary

Chase Brexton Health Care is seeking an experienced Medical Office/Access Coordinator to serve as the dedicated liaison for patient access improvements and scheduling in a busy multi-disciplinary practice. You will monitor and backfill providers’ schedules, interact with patients, insurers, and other health care professionals to prepare for clinic visits.

You will also assist with follow-up, coordination of care not requiring clinician intervention, and general administrative tasks including

Qualifications

• Required: High school, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Required: Five (5) years of customer service experience.
• Required: Three (3) years experience in medical office environment
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records Systems

Responsibilities

• Checks providers schedule daily to ensure all slots are filled appropriately.
• Verifies that appointment reminders are sent out daily and accurately.
• Verifies insurance prior to scheduling appointments.
• Assists with patient follow up and coordination of care when clinician intervention is not required.
• Documents in EMR steps taken to complete appointment scheduling and ensure timely authorizations.
