Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Centralized Scheduling Representative to promptly answer calls and schedule patients in accordance with department guidelines. You will enter demographic and insurance information and Pre-Cert when applicable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will listen carefully to requests from patients, physicians, and office staff across departments to schedule procedures with a focus on service quality and teamwork, while verifying medical necessity and insurance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post secondary education preferred.
• Pre-cert experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer telephone calls and schedule patients within department guidelines.
• Enter demographic and insurance information, and Pre-Cert info when applicable.
• Listen to requests from patients, physicians, office personnel, and inter-hospital departments to schedule procedures.
• Maintain department standards of Talk Time and work together as a team.
• Check Medical necessity and patient Insurance.
