Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a Centralized Scheduling Representative to promptly answer calls and schedule patients for outpatient tests and procedures within department guidelines.

The role includes entering demographic and insurance information, verifying Pre-cert where applicable, and checking medical necessity and patient insurance. Collaboration with physicians and inter-hospital departments is essential to ensure top-notch customer service and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post secondary education preferred.
• Pre-cert experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer telephone calls and schedule patients in a timely manner within Department guidelines.
• Schedule outpatient tests and procedures.
• Enter demographic and insurance information, Pre-cert information when applies.
• Accurately listen to requests from patients, physicians, physician's office personnel, and inter-hospital departments to schedule procedures.
• Check Medical necessity and patient Insurance.
• Maintain Department Standards of Talk Time and teamwork.
