Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred healthcare experience or medical secretarial training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or related experience.
• Strong customer service and professional communication in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to learn new procedures and protect patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic information and guarantor details.
• Verify insurance status and update insurance, obtaining signatures as needed.
• Check in/check out patients and communicate instructions per protocol.
• Schedule appointments, labs, and imaging using EPIC and ensure accuracy.
• Process copays and payments and manage MyChart scheduling requests.
• Notify staff of changes to appointments and manage patient queues.
