Job summary

Fox Valley Orthopedics in Geneva and Elgin, IL is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide front-desk and registration support for designated physicians. You will greet patients, handle calls, schedule appointments, collect information, and maintain records.

This full-time role requires the ability to travel between locations, rotate evenings and weekends, and pass background, TB, and drug screening. Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients.
• Answer telephone calls and assist or direct callers as appropriate.
• Perform registration ensuring timely and accurate completion of documentation.
• Schedule patient appointments and/or tests and assist in obtaining necessary referrals.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Facilitate internal communication regarding physician schedule changes and issues pertaining to patient care.
• Obtain accurate patient information when answering and returning telephone calls.
• Transfer calls and/or patient cases to the appropriate departments.
• Check patients in using electronic tools and paper forms to ensure all necessary information and documents are obtained.
• Facilitate scheduling and registration of Urgent Care patients.
• Collects and processes payments keeping an accurate record of payments received.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
