Job summary

Peoples Community Health Clinic is seeking a Patient Registration/Scheduling Representative to register and schedule appointments for all patients and provide intake services for new patients.

The role supports a service-oriented atmosphere, requires the ability to work with diverse groups, and involves using an EHR system regularly and handling cash or payments as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 1-year medical office or customer service experience required.
• Completion of Nurse Aide I course, Medical Assistant program, or 1 yr. direct care in medical office preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year patient care or medical terminology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages incoming phone calls and patient flow into the clinic.
• Schedules patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Interview patient or designee to obtain demographic and financial information to create the medical record.
• Documents phone calls and routes to appropriate department including patient requests for additional information.
• Provides accurate intake services for new patients.
• Obtains Income Verification and Declaration of Income forms as appropriate.
• Documents triage notes as needed.
• Performs various clerical duties.
• Supports a service-oriented atmosphere in accordance with the clinic's mission and philosophy.
• Follows policies and procedures.
