AdventHealth in Riverview, FL seeks a full-time patient scheduling specialist to manage patient registrations and appointment coordination for outpatient services. The role requires strong computer skills and good communication to support cross-department collaboration.

The incumbent will schedule tests and clinic visits, ensure accurate data capture, and assist with precertification paperwork to keep care flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• Proficient with computers and basic office equipment.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
• Communicates with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput of all outpatient appointments.
• Schedules patient appointments for ancillary departments.
• Notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments.
• Facilitates precertification delivery for outpatient clinics.
• Evaluates and reports information to the team to support patient care.
• Prioritizes workload efficiently and demonstrates independent problem-solving.
• Maintains clerical records to support scheduling processes.
• Attends staff meetings and contributes to team discussions.
• Other duties as assigned.
