Job summary

SSM Health Dean Medical Group in Madison is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, providers and referral sources. You will verify information, coordinate referrals, and help ensure timely access to care across front desk and registration activities.

This 40-hour, full-time role offers a varied schedule between 6:30 am and 7 pm, opportunities to support multiple locations, and a pathway to grow within a large, community-focused health system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into appropriate database.
• Schedules patient procedures and coordinates schedules.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and reception duties related to patient registration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
