Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist in California to ensure a seamless patient experience. You’ll greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule follow-ups including cast and prosthetic care.

The ideal candidate will have a background in front office or medical receptionist work, be proficient with Windows software, and maintain accurate electronic health records while collaborating with clinic staff and the Revenue Cycle Management team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of customer service or administrative experience.
• Experience in a receptionist position or with medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage front desk inquiries.
• Verify demographics and insurance at check-in.
• Collect patient payments (deductibles, copays, and coinsurance).
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast and prosthetic care plans.
• Liaise with clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for patients.
