Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• 1+ year in a medical setting with coding, charge entry and payment collection.
• BLS CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling of outpatient appointments.
• Communicates with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate data capture and throughput.
• Notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments and facilitates precertification for outpatient clinics.
• Inputs information for patient appointments and external reviews; keeps clerical records up to date.
• Attends staff meetings and contributes to team discussions as required.
