Job summary

Starling Physicians in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a diligent Patient Service Representative to join the front desk. You will greet patients, manage check-ins, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while maintaining a smooth patient flow.

You must have strong English communication, customer-service skills, and the ability to multitask across systems. Experience with PSR roles and medical office terminology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Heartsaver certification within 30 days of hire.
• PSR experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills required.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology helpful.
• Able to organize and perform multiple tasks promptly.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and directs them appropriately.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and provides excellent service.
• Answers phones, takes messages, and routes calls.
• Updates patient information and verifies insurance data.
• Schedules appointments and manages waitlists.
• Posts self-pay charges and provides receipts.
• Reconciles daily payments and deposits.
• Opens/closes batches and handles corrections.
• Communicates issues to the Office Supervisor promptly.
