Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Clearwater seeks a Patient Access Representative for scheduling to support patient flow, ensure accurate appointment coordination, and deliver a welcoming experience in a busy orthopedic practice.

You will register new patients, collect demographics and insurance, schedule per physician protocols, handle add-ons, update insurance, verify information, and help maintain compliance with FOI policies while providing excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Two years of experience in a medical environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of calls.

Responsibilities

• Register all new patients in the computer system by obtaining patient demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments according to patient need and physician protocol.
• Handle request for add-on appointment immediately according to physician protocols.
• Update established patients insurance as needed.
• Verify all established patients personal information & insurance information as needed.
• Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
• All other duties as assigned.
