Job summary

Family Care Network is seeking a Centralized New Patient Scheduler to be the first contact for new patients seeking care. This role schedules appointments across multiple providers and locations, ensures accurate data entry in the EMR, and maintains a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate will manage high call volumes, verify insurance details, and communicate effectively with patients and external offices while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and referral processes preferred.
• Medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volume of inbound calls and messages for new patients.
• Enter patient data accurately into the EMR and verify demographics/insurance.
• Explain appointment types and required forms to new patients.
• Schedule appointments across multiple providers and locations.
• Verify insurance eligibility with carriers and obtain referrals when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and data confidentiality.
